Under the 'new normal', travel is likely to be very restricted. Is it possible to do more than present individual artworks with a simple narrative, as we see so often when exploring museums digitally? And when museums do try do more with VR - is it successful?
In this edition, we're visiting Crystal Bridges Museum who are developing an interesting ...

Many galleries and museums are providing digital resources during the COVID- 19 crisis. Google has provided us with new digital experiences of major galleries. Not quite the same as visiting the real thing - but an escape route, nonetheless.
The Bauhaus Dessau Foundation in Germany is an exciting place to start our digital visits. It is difficult to underestimate the impact of Bauhaus on the worlds of art and design, with an extraordinary range of tutors and students during the scho...

If you’re thinking about new visual art skills and interests to pursue, relief printing athome is an option you might want to try. You cut away areas from a flat surface andprint directly from the raised surface that remains. Remember whatever you draw orwrite will flip horizontally when printed.

His house was a miscellany of jewels and junk. One day, as I excitedly recalled discovering Gaberbocchus Press by stumbling upon a copy of Jarry’s Ubu Roi (illustrated by Franciszka Themerson), Peter dashed from th...

Susan Stockwell is a contemporary British artist, described as a sculptor who makes subtly political work about materials and their inherent content and histories, with injustice and inequality as overarching themes.
