We relaunched the gallery shop before Christmas, with success, updating our stock all the time. Now we’re reorganising print sales. We have already placed a number of prints for sale in our online shop. Culture Label recently featured Edd Pearman’s prints through the LPS Culture Label section (more details in following post).
There’s information elsewhere on our blog about categorising prints for sale, and about the art market. We want to help artists earn a living from their work over the long term. Some items in the new collection of prints are ‘special promotions’ negotiated with the artists. The strategy for some artist’s open or limited editions is to increase sales by discounting an individual digital print for a limited period tied into an exhibition; in other instances, we will be producing low cost and unlimited ‘diffusion’ artist multiples – which may be a special ‘collectable’ size. We are also committed to pricing artist multiples and open editions realistically which will increase sales.
Expect more themed collections, print promotions and print launches from us over the next few months, along with changing ‘Featured Artist’ displays above the plan chests in the foyer of the studio.
