MA Printmaking Degree Show – Rachael Edgar
MA Printmaking Degree Show – ‘Scribing an arc’
An exhibition of prints by MA students Yuet Yean Teo and Rachael Edgar (17th January until 1st February 2014)
Rachael Edgar uses etching and early Victorian photographic processes to investigate the psychoanalytic idea of ‘ambivalence’, a state of having simultaneous, conflicting feelings that should exist in equilibrium. The prints aim to discomfit by disrupting that equilibrium into its component, conflicting parts, asking the viewer to move from one state to another and back again.
