“FROM AN IMAGE TO A STORY” (A workshop in picture narrative)
6 Week Course, every Monday
Monday 19th February – Monday 26th March 2018 (10.30am – 5.00pm)
This project addresses narrative and the imagination, with the emphasis on intuition and improvisation.
Over six weeks you will create six self-contained mini-stories, which when joined together form a longer and more complex story that you may wish to make into a book.
To help you in this endeavour we are giving you three ingredients;
1. A photograph of a house
2. The title: A CHANGE OF TEMPERATURE
3. You are asked to choose an object from a London museum that you find interesting or intriguing.
For the final critique (Monday 19th March) we will be joined by special guest Booker Prize nominated author Deborah Levy, and we will mount an exhibition of your work which will be on display in the gallery in March.
This course is taught by Andrzej Klimowski, Emeritus Professor Royal College of Art.
