Susan Stockwell’s work takes many forms from small intricate studies to large-scale installations and sculpture. Her work deals with ecology, geo-politics, mapping, trade and global commerce. She draws on the everyday domestic and industrial, disposable products that pervade our lives. These materials are manipulated and transformed into works of art that are extraordinary.
Susan Stockwell attended the Royal College of Art, London. She exhibits in galleries and museums all over the world, including the Victoria and Albert Museum, London, and major public collections in New York, and the National Museum of China, Beijing. She has been awarded scholarships, grants and commissions including recently Visiting Arts Taiwan-England Artists Fellowship, an Arts and Humanities Research Council Grant. She recently completed a large public commission for the University of Bedfordshire. Susan is based in London.
Susan’s work will be on display in the gallery until mid October. The exhibition includes ‘Blood Lines’ which is to be co-published with londonprintstudio. The Blood Lines’ publication will be launched at the forthcoming Multiplied Art Fair in October.
