Large-format digital printing service
large-format prints up to 111cm wide (on selected papers) using the HP Z3200 professional inkjet printer with Ultrachrome pigment inks. We can print your work, at high-resolutions (1440 ppi) up to 44”/111cm wide. We provide a personal service giving artists the opportunity to experiment with ideas and realise unique products. .

Prices start at just £13.00.

The HP Z3200 printer is generally regarded as one of the most sophisticated digital printers for the fine-art and photographic markets, due to the newly introduced HP Gloss Enhancer and chromatic red, which produce an expended colour gamut and superior gloss uniformity. Prints can be produced onto a range of specially coated materials including watercolour papers, poster papers, high-gloss paper and canvas. To order prints or to discuss the best options for your prints and view samples, we offer free short consultations. These are available by appointment Tuesday to Saturday 10.30am to 5.30pm. Large-format digital printing service print file requirements
Images for large format print jobs should be saved as PSD, Tiff, or EPS files, in RGB Colour Mode. If you wish to print an Illustrator or Quark file, please speak with staff for a free consultation before printing.

Pixel resolution of 300ppi (pixels per inch) is highly recommended. A larger resolution would not produce identifiably improved results, but would increase the file size. The minimum resolution recommended is 150ppi, however this will result in a lower quality print out.

It is recommended that images be scanned or converted to RGB colour models. For optimum output quality images should be scanned at a high resolution and reduced when you save the final image size.

how permanent are the inks?
The life of the print is affected by many factors including exposure to UV and other light waves, air pollution, humidity, air circulation and the media used for printing. It is recommended that prints are framed under glass, preferably with a UV filter. An independent study by Wilhelm research gives the longeivity estimates for prints stored under glass in typical indoor conditions as:
Colour print on somerset velvet paper 57 years before noticable fading occurs.
Black & White print on somerset velvet paper 100 years before noticable fading occurs.

retouching and image manipulation
Our staff can do retouching and image manipulation for you at the dedicated support charge of £37.40 per hour.

Alternatively we can provide you with training for you to do the work yourself in the digital studio.

design services
londonprintstudio specialises in assisting not-for-profit arts and community organisations to communicate effectively with their clients and audiences. We are able to assist with websites, newsletters, posters etc. £37.40 per hour including VAT.

small-format inkjet printing service
A2 and smaller prints printed on the Epson 3800 high-quality professional printer. Resolution up to 2880 ppi using Epson Ultrachrome inks. Various papers available.

scanning & CD burning
We offer a scanning service from photographs, negative or slide-film.
